Hickey Lip

I don’t usually post on Sunday, but a crazy, personal flashback discount cocktail dresses  just hit me that I HAD to share. I’m sitting in the hallway of my high school (Edward R. Murrow, we sat in the hallway there. very experimental) eating a chicken cutlet parm on a bagel, drinking a Crystal Pepsi and doing my homework at the last minute. I stop to ponder “The Assistant” while sucking on the glass bottle when, OMG, my lip gets stuck in the bottle. Yes. It happened. I enlisted some help and, moments later, a POP and…….
Hickey Lip! I gave myself a HICKY on my OWN LIPS! How MORTIFYING. Fast forward to 2008. Just a random Sunday, sitting here, writing (exciting project… I’ll keep you posted on details!) and drinking my beloved Smart Water…… A moment of writer’s block and suddenly…… YES, my upper lip was ONCE AGAIN SUCKED INTO THE BOTTLE. This time I managed to wrangle it out myself, but, alas, the results are the same. I have a hickey lip. Luckily this time, it’s giving me more formal cocktail dresses  of a “I drank too much red wine at a party” look, or like, Wet and Wild lip liner applied poorly. Never the less, 15 years later, still mortifying. :-)
Adam Batt of Jersey Street Furniture  (lower the volume if you’re at work!) sent me these really beautiful photos of a wedding he worked on with David Tutera.  Jersey Street serves more than jersey and they have an amazing selection.  This wedding is pretty fantastic! It will be featured on shop cocktail dresses  Tutera’s new show "My Fair Wedding".  Check it out for inspiration.  I think the airiness of the glass vases is my favorite part!

Gone to the Dogs part 1

The Q: "I love your blog.  I’m getting married to my dogs’ vet in June.  We met 3 years ago when I took my dog to him at the clinic. His 3 dogs and my dog make a perfect family. We are getting married at my family’s Inn overlooking the water on cape cod.  Teal Blue is my main cheap cocktail dresses  color and thinking of using bright hot pink flowers (fusia color) as accents.
Question 1:  I love how you tied in the NY program and taxi cabs in your wedding.  Do you have any cool ideas to tie in our love of our dog family without being tacky or cheesy. I had hand painted invitation made that incorpated our fury friends and I was thinking of using their small dog figurines on top of the wedding cake instead of a bride and groom.  One of the well behaved dogs might be in the ceremony. Maybe that’s enough…but if you have any cool ideas please let me know….." The A: Your story made me SOOO happy when I read it, I had to post on your first question right away!  Your meeting is like an awesome romantic comedy.  It combines two things that I love: romantic meetings and dogs!!!! So, you don’t want to go toooo overboard on the dog stuff, but I think you have room for a couple more things without it getting crazy.  I think your current touches are very sweet and appropriate: personal discount cocktail dresses  details without become distracting.  So, here are some more ideas along those lines: If you haven’t mailed your invites, consider photo stamping your furry family for postage- either on the outgoing or for the RSVP card.  We did this with Chelsea, the adorable poodle mix for one of our clients last year.  I love photo stamps as a way of generally cheering up postage.
I’m also personally offended by the current wedding stamps. they are formal cocktail dresses  sooooo boring.  (BRING BACK THE KISSING BLUEBIRDS!!!!) Another thought is for your favors.  I don’t know what you were thinking, but as well documented here, I LOVE edible favors.  How about biscuit shaped cookies???  Or Doggie Silhouettes?

Frolicking Frocks

Mayra located this new website for gorgeous invitations and save the dates the other day and we already began an order with them- Minted.  Their service has been fantastic and formal cocktail dresses  they were even working with us to slightly customize our order.  Their save the dates are particularly unique, and they carry both their own exclusive designs as well as high-end lines like Mr. Boddington.
My dream had often been to wear a vintage wedding dress.  I know it isn’t for everyone, but the romance of days gone by (and I’m not talking about 80′s puffy sleeves, here, I’m talking VERY vintage) is just so hard to capture AND you never worry that anyone else will be wearing your "look".  I was thrilled to find TheFrock.com and couldn’t wait to share.  From $1200-6,000 these designer shop cocktail dresses  duds of the past will add a spot of glamour to the lucky gal who fits into the dress.  My favorite- the vintage Givenchy number at the bottom.
I know it's awful, but i love to shop off of the registry… as in, totally ignore it. I shouldn't do that, but I love to get fun gifts. It's part of why I love Wishpot, because it lets couples register for fun stuff beyond what the usual department stores have.  SO, i was enamored with Jessica Rust buy cocktail dresses  Designs' personalized, high end porcelein pieces, like these Birch Mugs or this family tree or even this personalized China.  And it's priced nicely, And you can add it to your wishpot  (or wait for a rude guest like me to buy you something not on the registry!)
